We are recruiting for a part-time Outreach officer within the national TELL MAMA project.

This is a well recognised project and the role will involve reaching out and working with Muslim communities in the West Midlands. Additionally, the role will raise awareness within Muslim communities to report in anti-Muslim hate, support victims of anti-Muslim hate and to assist in the mapping, measuring and monitoring of anti-Muslim hate.

This is a part time role for 2 days per week for a year. This role would ideally suit someone who has an interest or direct experience in hate crime work and someone who is personable and able to work with communities.

The ideal candidate will be one with over 2 years of experience in hate crime work and someone who has an understanding of Muslim communities and on work relating to anti-Muslim hate. The candidate will also be a self-starter and have a pro-active approach since he/she will be working somewhat independently within the region. They will also have a good awareness and understanding of issues affecting communities in the West Midlands area.

The role will also involve working with the West Midlands Police, local authorities, mosques, schools, further education colleges, universities and women’s civil society groups in the region.

It will be based in the West Midlands and attracts an attractive salary, (£25,000 per annum – pro-rata).
