Volunteer With Us
All hate crime is wrong! That is the basis on which this project has developed and within that premise, we believe that people deserve the right to live their lives in peace and freedom. Attacks against any community in the UK should not be tolerated and we should be intolerant to intolerance!
If you believe in these values, the right to live in peace and without fear and the right not to be attacked because of who you are or the way you worship, then we would like to hear from you. We are keen on developing a volunteer network of individuals who can support the MAMA project and thereby volunteer for a range of activities to support those who have suffered anti-Muslim incidents and to help us in recording, mapping and analysing the data on such attacks in our country.
We believe that people can create positive change through small deeds and actions. By volunteering with the MAMA project you will not only be helping those who have suffered such anti-Muslim hate incidents, you will also be helping to send a firm message that anti-Muslim incidents are wrong, they are hate crimes and mean that many innocent individuals are affected by the poisonous hate of others. This is not only unacceptable, it is morally wrong. Together, with your help and assistance, we can ensure that such poisonous hate does no manifest in our local communities and that everyone should have the right to walk down their High Street or local road without the fear that blights the lives of some people in our country today. This is why your involvement and your volunteering is so important. It can make a real difference to the lives of others.
Our Founder and Director, Fiyaz Mughal OBE says, “If you would like to volunteer on the MAMA project and help to counter anti-Muslim prejudice or Islamophobia, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us through the variety of mechanisms listed on the home page of the MAMA site. Remember that you are not a victim, because you have chosen to do something about hate crime.”
