These are the latest release from the Metropolitan Police Service on Islamophobic hate crimes in March 2014. What is interesting to note is that Tower Hamlets has been having higher figures of reported Islamophobic hate crimes for some months now as Lambeth and Southwark have. However, the key figure here that is worrying is the comparison of Islamophobic hate crimes from March 2013 to March 2014. There has been a 65% increase in Islamophobic hate crime reporting between the two-time periods.

These cases will no doubt include both on-line and off-line hate crimes that are registered by the MET.
