News came in of a suspected package that was placed in the bounds of the Aisha mosque in Walsall. Earlier on Sunday afternoon, the suspect package was confirmed to be a home-made explosive which went off on Friday evening within the bounds of the Aisha mosque. No-one was hurt though confirmation of a home-made explosive shocked and caused fear within local users and Muslim community members in the area, according to mosque leaders. The local Walsall Muslim community have called for calm from local community members.

Police confirmed that no threats were made to the mosque and that they are keeping “their options open.” Well, we thought that we would highlight some comments from local EDL sympathisers in the West Midlands area who gloated over the burning down of the Al Rahma community centre in Muswell Hill in North London, some two weeks ago. These individuals posted onto the English Defence League Wallsall and Bloxwich Division. No doubt the local police will be looking into these matters, though this material was conveyed some time ago to through relevant force contacts.
